ITALIAN GREYHOUND SAFEHOUSE ALLIANCE FOSTER HOME APPLI CATION THANK YOU for your interest in acting as a foster home forThe Italian Greyhound Safehouse Alliance. Please read and complete the following. The more details you can provide, the better we will be able to match your situation with an Italian Greyhound we feel will thrive while in your care. Our Italian Greyhounds are very special ones -- since they have spent much of their lives in puppy mills, they are frequently in need of long-term rehabilitation and socialization. Many of them are extremely fearful of humans, and will require much patience and quiet tact in encouraging them to leave their fears behind and enjoy human companionship and touch. It may take days, weeks, months or even years to acquire even the slightest bit of trust from a foster dog.
